Party holds national women’s conference

On December 25, Komeito held a national conference for women legislators at the prefectural level both in person and online. The participants discussed major policy initiatives for 2025, among them being to actively collect the grassroots views and needs of women throughout Japan. Other policy goals include eliminating the wage gap between men and women workers, securing the right for married women to choose surnames, as well as disaster response and prevention programs that are informed by women’s perspectives. Chief Representative Tetsuo Saito, Women’s Affairs Committee Chair Toshiko Takeya and committee executive Sayaka Sasaki, a member of the House of Councillors, attended the conference.Search News
