On March 27, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi welcomed His Excellency Wu Fianghao, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Japan, in Tokyo. In their meeting, Ambassador Wu called for the two countries to engage in high-level talks on economic affairs, saying China is also moving ahead with exchanges in other realms and that bilateral relations appear to be on the upswing. Moreover, the Chinese ambassador and the Komeito leader agreed that it was important to step up exchanges among their respective political parties, between younger generations and women legislators.
