Yamaguchi attends Indonesia independence fete, meets Indonesian ambassador

On October 11, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi met with His Excellency Heri Akhmadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan, and Speaker Puan Maharani of Indonesia’s House of Representatives, who was visiting Japan. They were attending an event feting the 78th anniversary of the republic’s independence held at the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo.

Yamaguchi reiterated Japan’s commitment to close relations with all ten member-states of ASEAN, saying Komeito looked to further strengthen the partnership across a broad range of realms going forward.
