The Liberal Democratic Party, which cooperated with Komeito in the latest race, won 33 seats, making it the largest political party in the assembly.Komeito thanked its supporters for making the victory possible, particularly as eight of 21 electoral districts (a number of them multiple-seat districts) in which the party’s candidates ran were seen to be hotly contested.
