Yamaguchi urges caution on providing alcoholic drinks at Olympics
June 23 , 2021
Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi spoke with reporters on June 22 regarding discussions whether to allow vendors to provide alcoholic beverages at Olympic events. Citing a recent study showing that the more spectators who return directly home from the Olympic Stadium, the less likely they are to contract the coronavirus, Yamaguchi expressed concerns if alcohol became available onsite. Spectators who have been served alcohol are believed to more likely continue drinking at offsite establishments rather than returning home.Search News
