On June 16, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi spoke at a joint session of Komeito legislators from the House of Representatives and House of Councilors, where he outlined the party’s numerous policy successes and future goals. He counted the push for government-wide digitalization, global climate change initiatives and securing a massive budget to fight the pandemic among the successes, while pointing to a stricter political financing bill and support for a safe and secure Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics later this year.
