Komeito seeks expanded eligibility for lump-sum payment to smaller businesses

At a House of Representatives budget hearing held on February 9, Komeito’s Yoshinori Oguchi urged the government to provide small- and medium-tier enterprises (SMEs) that have seen their revenues halved during the declaration of national emergency with a lump-sum payment. He added that adequate funding should be secured and that the scope of eligibility for the payment be expanded.
