Prevailing over the pandemic

In one of his first official statements of the new year, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi described 2021 as a “watershed year” in the battle against the coronavirus and breakthrough to a better future. He promised to work even closer with the healthcare community to prevail over the pandemic while striving to reboot a flagging economy. He also reiterated his party’s commitment in the safe and successful holding of the Tokyo Olympiad and Paralympics later in the year.Turning to two key elections—one for the House of Representatives and the other, the Tokyo metropolitan assembly—to be held this year, Yamaguchi pledged victory by using a broad array of means and methods while staying within COVID-19 safety protocols.
