Yamaguchi: Extend aid to firms, workers until March 2021
October 16 , 2020
Komeito’s chief representative, Natsuo Yamaguchi, spoke at his party’s Central Secretariat on October 15 on the need to drive demand in an economy struggling in the pandemic. Noting the efficacy of the government’s “Go To” programs to spur consumer consumption, Yamaguchi supported the move to allocate additional funding to its “Go To Travel” campaign. He also said that Komeito will be lobbying the government to extend the two special subsidies—one for smaller businesses to retain payroll and the other to assist jobless workers—to March 2021.Search News
