Tokyo governor Koike thanks Komeito for its support

On July 6, newly elected Tokyo Metropolitan Governor Yuriko Koike visited Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi to express her appreciation to the party for its backing of her successful bid in the gubernatorial contest held on July 5. Yamaguchi offered his felicitations on her re-election and asked the governor to continue focusing on measures to prevail over the pandemic and concerning increase in infected cases in the capital. Governor Koike said her administration will be tackling the challenge by working closely with the central government.
