Saito: Gov’t and Tokyo gov’t must work more closely together

On July 3, Komeito Secretary General Tetsuo Saito told reporters that the Japanese government and Tokyo metropolitan government need to cooperate more closely with one another in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Pointing to the rapid rise in infected cases in the capital, Saito said the two governments should agree to establish clearly defined policies and protocols, with the weight of their decisions contingent on sound scientific findings.Search News
