Yamaguchi addresses joint party session

On June 17, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi addressed a joint general meeting of party legislators of both national chambers. He cited his party for proposing to the government the need to establish a panel of COVID-19 experts, which he said provided numerous insights and lessons on battling the pandemic. He added that Komeito served as a driving force in passage of national budgets and supplementary budgets, resulting in a universal payout of 100,000 yen to everyone residing in Japan and other key policy initiatives.
