Ruling parties agree on postpone paying taxes

Representatives of the two coalition government partners—Komeito and the Liberal Democratic Party—met on March 31 and agreed in principle to allow taxpayers a tax payment deferral as part of a special emergency stimulus package to combat the Covid-19 outbreak. Among the focal points of their discussion was the possibility of deferring corporate income and consumption taxes for firms suffering from significant revenue declines.Search News
