Komeito warns Cabinet officials on speech and conduct

April 20 , 2017

In his address at the party’s House of Councillors general meeting on Wednesday, April 19, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi sternly criticized recent series of inappropriate comments as well as the resignation of a parliamentary secretary made by Liberal Democratic Party members in the ruling coalition. Such negligent behavior, he said, fosters a sense of public distrust in the government.

Pointing out that without constant vigilance and strong sense of purpose, a stable government cannot be maintained, Yamaguchi called for greater awareness of ministers and senior government officials as to their speech and conduct.
