On April 2, Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi met with His Excellency Lee Su Hoon, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Japan who is leaving his post, in Tokyo.

Yamaguchi cited the importance of efforts to maintain healthy bilateral relations mutually undertaken from a broad perspective. He added that stepping up exchanges between Japan and South Korea, particularly among the younger generation, would prove beneficial to both countries over the long run.

Looking back his term of office which he held since October 2017, Ambassador Lee noted that exchanges among young people was growing, as was the scale of interactivity between Japanese and Koreans. This trend, he said, would surely lead to more friendly bilateral ties.
