Party meets with PNA President Abbas

April 13, 2012: Senior New Komeito officials led by Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi met with President Mahoud Abbas of the Palestinian National Authority in Tokyo on Thursday, April 12. In their meeting, Yamaguchi expressed hope for progress in negotiations between the PNA and Israel to settle outstanding issues. He also reaffirmed that New Komeito was committed to the peaceful resolution of the political challenges in the Middle East and pledged to secure Japanese support to the PNA economy.
Yamaguchi also thanked President Abbas, who traveled to Miyagi prefecture on this day, and the PNA for their thoughts and support to the victims of the March 11, 2011 calamity.
